退休计划

All full-time employees participate in the North Carolina Teacher’s and State Employees’ 退休制度. State retirement is deducted at the rate of six percent; the state contribution varies dependent on market conditions. Contributions are tax sheltered for federal and state income tax purposes. All full-time employees are eligible to join the North Carolina State Health Plan which offers two Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans. PPO plans offer the freedom of choice among in-network providers, lower out-of-pocket costs and strong emphasis on preventive health. The State Health Plan offers two health plan options: The 80/20 Plan and the 70/30 plan. Part-time regular employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance at their cost.

Professional liability insurance is mandatory for faculty in the Allied Health and Early Childhood Education programs if individuals are involved in clinical experiences.

Staff employees – Full-time administrative and support staff earn vacation leave at a rate of 10 hours per full month of service. 假期累计可达240小时. Unused vacation in excess of 240 hours will be converted to sick leave at the end of each fiscal year.

教师 – Full-time faculty follow the approved academic calendar for vacation.

Sick leave is earned by all full-time employees at a rate of eight hours per month for a total of 96 hours (12 days) per fiscal year. Unused sick leave accumulates indefinitely and is non-transferable to any other type of leave.

A full-time employee may be granted a maximum of three (3) days leave with pay when there is a death in the immediate family. Additional days may be charged to annual leave, sick leave, or leave without pay.

All full-time employees who have successfully completed at least 180 days are eligible for up to three days of personal leave during each year. 事假在每个财政年度结束时到期.

Employees who are subpoenaed for jury duty will be granted jury leave and receive regular pay from the College.
